Looking for the best museums for kids in Dublin? Imaginosity is a playful experience designed especially for children under 9 years of age
Imaginosity champions the ‘hands-on, minds-on’ philosophy that encourages all visitors to get involved and have fun while learning. Spanning three levels there are 19 educationally designed exhibits. Children can sing, dance and dress-up in costumes in the theatre, present the news at the TV Station or become an engineer in the construction zone. From becoming a mechanic in the garage to examining an x-ray in Dr Apple-a-Day’s Surgery or choosing the evening meal in the Village Market there’s a lot of variety throughout all the play spaces and levels.
Weather dependent you might be lucky to meet the Eco Badger up on the roof garden and learn about how the ‘green’ building works. Children can also make their way up the climber past the Wizard’s Lair and the Rocket Ship to Rapunzel’s Castle.
Imaginosity also offers a wide variety of workshops for children with classes in arts and crafts, computers, music and theatre everyday in the Art Studio, in the Children’s Theatre Space and in the Cyber Room – most are free with admission.
Please note that tickets must be pre-booked on-line or via phone before arriving.
