Looking for what’s on in Dublin for kids this May bank holiday weekend? Well, kick up your heels, the Woolapalooza Farm Festival is back at Airfield.
Sure to make you go barn-y for all things farm-y, one of our favorite events of the year is back with a fun packed schedule of farm activities that will be rolled out at Airfield Estate. A great way to get outdoors with the kids and explore!
Throughout the weekend there’ll be activities and events for children and all the family. From outdoor family games and obstacles courses to craft markets, a sizzling BBQ and a good old fashioned barn dance this is a gorgeous event that is sure to warm your heart.
Get up close to see the award winning sheep shearers trim the sheeps winter wooly coats in time for summer. Or meet Nan, the charismatic sheepdog during the Sheep Dog Trials as she puts on a spectacular display of manouevers and agility.
Make sure to get in on the action at the farmyard feeding of the calves or get up close to the jersey herd for their daily milking. There’ll be tasty treats and and baking demonstrations from the farmhouse that’ll have you yearning for more.

The Schedule:
Egg Collection

Roll up, roll up for the daily morning egg collection from our Silkie hens
Jersey Herd Milking & Tasting
(10:30am) In the Farmyard
See the Jersey herd being milked in the farmyard and after watching the milking process, you’ll get to taste the yummy, creamy Jersey milk!
Sheep Shearing
(10:30am, 12pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 4:00pm) In the farmyard
Award winning sheep shearer Rodney will be shedding and trimming all our sheep’s winter woolly coats and getting them ready for summer.
Airfield House Tour

Explore the history of Letitia and Naomi Overend
Craft Market

Meet some really cool craft makers and designers who will be exhibiting their crafty collection.

Sheep Dog Trials

The sheep dog trials will once again steal the show with the return of Nan, the champion sheepdog and her charismatic owner Dennis Birchall! They’ll put on a spectacular display of manoeuvres and agility.

Agricultural Tours
