This family-friendly event will see dragons, drummers and daring circus performers take over Meeting House Square for a spectacular celebration, as excitement builds for the Year of the Rooster and will kick off a fortnight of festivities! The Spring Festival Fair

Rooster-themed entertainment, activities, arts and crafts, suitable for people of all ages. Come try your hand at Chinese chess and calligraphy, marvel at martial arts displays and musical performances, or sample the delicious Chinese food and drink on offer at our Spring Festival stalls. You’ll also be able to enjoy special short-film screenings, glamorous fashion shows and a spectacular shadow puppetry performance. Spot the Deer Bike Tour

A special cycling tour of one of Europe’s largest walled city parks, the Phoenix Park. Organised by Chinese Circle App and Rachel Sunshine Internation this tour, given in both Mandarin and English, will guide you around all of the parks attractions, including Dublin Zoo, The President’s House and Farmleigh House. Plus, you’ll have a chance to see one of the largest herds of urban deer in Europe.

Spring Festival Gala

The Gala presents the best in Chinese performing arts to the Irish and Chinese public and illuminates cultural diversity. The event has become enormously popular and this year, UCD CII is delighted to announce the special guest appearance of state-level art performing troupe, China Ethnic Song and Dance Ensemble. Join in & celebrate what promises to be the grand finale of Chinese New Year celebrations in Dublin!
